With a rich legacy spanning 115 years, the Indian Institute of Science has significantly transformed India’s research and technology landscape. To utilize its vast knowledge, infrastructure and talent to drive business innovation and bolster the national economy; IISc., established the Foundation for Science Innovation and Development (FSID) .

Inspired by its expertise of spearheading various large programs, FSID conceptualized “Pravriddhi”, an accelerator program crafted to usher in India’s next wave of innovation. Pravriddhi connects enterprises, investors and academia to expedite market driven innovations in manufacturing.

SamridDHI, funded by the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India is one of the pilot programs, that is successfully developing products through curated R&D initiatives. It plays a vital role in promoting progressive indigenization of capital goods by partnering with various industries and leading Institutions. It drives the innovation and gearing up to develop new products through dedicated Industry Accelerators. It lays the groundwork for Pravriddhi, which now aims to accelerate and expand these efforts on a larger scale.
